Subject: Maximum amount of Melatonin?

Hi, I have a 6 year old male with adrenal disease. He was
taken off of Lupron since he was having seizures with it. He
was then put on something for breast cancer in women but I
can't remember what it was. It worked for a year.
He went down from 2 3/4 pounds to 1 1/4 pounds. With Bob
Churches Chicken Gravy and LOTS of TLC,. he is back up to 2
1/2 pounds. Now he has a heart condition and my vet said that
she didn't think he'd survive surgery. He is aggressively
persistent with the other 16 and they don't appreciate it. He
has been on 1 1/2 g of Melatonin for 5 weeks now. His hair is
regrowing but the mounting is getting worse. I need to know
what the maximum dose for a 2 1/2 pound ferret could be.
Thanks in advance, Lois
