Subject: : Respiratory problems

We are fairly new to ferrets, although we have a a couple in the
past without illness. The problem now is that my Maine Coon cat has
had in the past respiratory problems, so have myself and my son: who
is the ferrets 14 year old owner. Problem being we are told that the
cat, ourselves and the ferret will continue to pass this over and
over, is this true or not? So far I have spent hundreds of dollars
on the cats, my sons, and myself to heal respiratory illness this
past few months. One vet says it is true, one says no, one Doctor
says yes, one says no: and I am totally up in arms. However spending
hundreds or dollars every few months is not in our budget. Once we
all seem well it starts again! So any advise would be helpful, I
hope you all agree with your answers because I really need solid
firm and conclusive advise before I make any decisions on getting
rid of pets, because unfortunately I can't send the kid away (smile)
Thanks ahead of time for your answers and reply's.
