Subject: Vets please

evening,
I have a male ferret (champange) who is about 1 year old. Mf ferret
he is not himself.. he does have some loss of hair on his underside belly
but the hair on the skin side looks as though it's turning orange.. just
below his ribcage he has a firm lump/bump inside that is at and angle from
left top to bottom right about 1 1/2 " long..(guessamint).. it does not take
up his whole abdomed area.. he is some what showing signs of slowing down
his breating is short and quick.. he has a hack cough off and on.. his nose
is pink and his gums are as well.. he is eating wet (ferret) kibble and
drinking water and is pooping.. not sure if he's peepeeing yet have him now
in a cage by himself for watch patrol this lump was spoted yesterday i take
him out 2 to 3 times a day for play and never seen this before.. i have talk
to a vet over the phone and he has an appt this friday.. but i'm worried you
know them on the phone conversations short and sweet :).(OR find a new
VET?). Please can you tell me what you think it is... could it be blatter?
large spleen? or is it more like cancer in one so young?
Thanks a very worried Mommy!
Life is life ...untill you are owned by ferrets :)
