Subject: RE Adrenals in Australia

Hi Shirley (and all!)

I have heard the same sort of information as that Shirley reported here. It
seems to be very rare here. But I also think that many ferrets here are
still not being properly treated - ie: they suffer from a case of the owner
knocking it on the head if something goes wrong. Of course not all are like
this - just the handful (or few handfuls). If this is the case, then the
count could be higher, but I suspect those unfortunate ferrets do not live
into old age.

I have heard of many more cases of Insulinoma here is Australia than I have
heard of Adrenal problems. I can think of about 10 cases in Western
Australia that I have heard of in the 2 1/2 years I have been here.

Amy
