Dr Williams and all..
My baby kitkat ended up having JL and it was very aggressive. his poor
little body was full of blood and in his lungs and had a bleeder after they
took the fluid off his lungs it filled right back up after many sad sad
hours the outlook was not good.. we were gonna do a trasfusion but the vet
was not hopefull..he went to the rainbow bridge last night.. Please to all
owners if your ferret is one little thing outta wack take them to be seen..
Jl comes on fast and hits hard love your fuzzies for they are here today..
who know's what tomorrow will bring .. a greiving family
Life is life ...untill you are owned by ferrets :)

Ferrets with JL generally present all of a sudden - usually when a
mass in the chest causes significant problems breathing. The liver
and spleen is usually also enlarged, but there is a lot of extra room
in the abdomen for them to grow, but space is at a premium in the
chest. Lungs need room to expand when you inhale, and anything
growing in the chest soon impinges on them.
