Subject: Post Adrenal Surgery TimeLine

I had previously posted and received much helpful information
pertaining to prior to surgery tips.

Bandit is a neutered sable male, approximately 3 1/2 years
old, he had strong adrenal symptoms of mounting, ear sucking,
overall thin fur, bald spot between his ears and tops of feet.
(He did not have the usual balding from the mid back down,
only the spot between his ears and feet).

It has been five-six weeks since his surgery, his incision has
healed completely but there has not been any lessening of his
symptoms, no fur re-growth on his shaved stomach, bald spot
between his ears or feet. I have to watch him carefully as he
wants to play aggressively but is overcome with the chasing,
mounting, ear sucking behavior. My other five ferrets are
happy to see him until he assists them to walk across the room
with his nose up their butts. If he cannot catch the females,
he chases the males.
They poor guy used to love to snuggle and snooze with
everyone, but he has had to sleep by himself since his
surgery.

My next question is what is the usual timeframe for post
surgery?

Am I being too impatient and should give him more time to
have his symptoms lessen or would a shot of Lupron be in
order?

Suggestions please.
