STUDY: ABDOMEN AND THORAX
ABDOMEN: THERE IS SEVER, DIFFUSE SPLENIC ENLARGEMENT. tHE SPLEEN IS
FOLDED AND EXHIBITS c-SHAPE IN BOTH PROJECTIONS. hEPATIC, GI
STRUCTURES ARE NORMAL. THE LEFT KIDNEY IS UNUSUALLY CAUDALLY
POSITIONED, POSSIBLY INDUCED BY THE SEVERITY OF SPENIC ENLARGEMENT.
nO ADRENAL GLAND MASS LESIONS ARE VISIBLE.
tHORAX: NO ABNORMALITIES ARE PRESENT.
ASSESSMENT: SERVER SPLENOMEGALY, MALPOSITIONED LEFT KEDNEY
COMMENTS:
LYMPHOMA, MAST CELL DISEASE ARE COMMON CAUSES FOR SEVERE SPLENIC
ENLARGEMENT. MANUALLY GUIDED FNA CAN PROBABLY BE EASILY ACCOMPLISHED
WITH LIMITED SEDATION. ULTRASOUND EXAM MAY BE APPROPRIATE FOR
ADRENAL GLAND EVALUATION IF PRIMAY PATHOLOGY OF ENDOCRINE ORIGIN IS
SUSPECTED.
CLYDE HAS LOOSE BY NOT TO LOOSE POOP. PENCEL LEAD SIZE. NO FEVER.
WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?
