Subject: Re: Post Adrenal Surgery TimeLine

Hi Diane,

There really is not a set rule for when hair growth returns on post surgical adrenal ferrets although there is a common area of around 2 to 6 weeks. We had one little girl who did not grow back any hair for 8 months, and a male who did not grow any for a year. I've seen them sprout hair as early as the next day as well. I would suggest to be patient, and give it at least through one coat shed season if not
two.

You didn't mention if Bandit had one or both adrenal glands removed. There is another possibility and that is that in the case of just one adrenal gland being removed, the other one has now followed suit. But you still need to give it time because there is still a good chance that the hair will grow back. If the hair comes in and then falls out again, then you could be looking at the second adrenal gland
going.

Hope this helps,
