Subject: Post Adrenal Surgery TimeLine for Symptoms Lessening or
Lupron to be considered?

Betty ('blurofur@shaw.ca') Thank you for your response.

To answer your question, Bandit had only one adrenal tumor
removed and I was careful to ask about the other side since
that was the more difficult one being near the vena cava. I
checked with the vet again at the four week mark to let her
know how he was doing and ask that question again (about there
being any chance at all that there could have been another
tumor on the other side.) They replied again that he was
absolutely clean everywhere else and to be sure they did a
complete exploratory at the time of the surgery. After another
experience I had with a different vet, I know to be persistent
and ask questions more than once and get complete and specific
answers.

I was asking about Lupron since I know that it "masks" the
adrenal symptoms, which at this point seems to be his only
problem. He is eating, sleeping, and pooping just fine,
although I have noticed he runs around just before urinating
or pooping to find, "just the right spot".

I am less concerned with hair re-growth and more concerned
with the mounting & ear sucking symptoms lessening as this is
deterring him from quality playtime & snoozing with his ferret
buddies.

At what point should I be concerned that his symptoms have not
dissipated and bring him to the vet and/or consider a shot of
Lupron?
