Subject: Re: The making of a ferret vet.

The easiest ones seem to be neck sticks. We just hold a bottle
with some Ferretone up, the vet shaves and sticks, one person
holds the scruff and the rear, and a third holds the front legs and
the bottle. Some don't mind in the least as long as the Ferretone
keeps pouring.

Are you in the U.S. or Canada? If so:

Ferret Veterinary Textbooks:

_Essentials of Ferrets, a Guide for Practitioners_ by K. Purcell
AAHA Press 1-800-252-2242

_Ferrets, Rabbits, and Rodents, Clinical Medicine and Surgery_
by E. Hillyer and K. Quesenberry (new edition likely out later this
year), Saunders 1-800-545-2522

_Biology and Diseases of the Ferret, 2nd edition_ J. Fox, Lea
and Febiger (no toll free number in my records though there
likely is one)

If Australia:

_Ferret Husbandry, Medicine and Surgery_ by J. Lewington,
Butterworth Heinmann publishers

Do not have British texts here though would like info so could
add one.
