I try to get as much blood in the tube as possible and if you get the
nail clipped right on the first try in a second or two you can get
3/4 of the tube filled. It's those cheap bleeders that can make you
nuts. I have sent in as little as two tubes only about 1/6 filled
(for one ferret) and that was enough for United to do the testing.
It's always best to send in two tubes with however much you can get
in each tube for each ferret to be tested. That way if one of the
tubes breaks or there isn't enough or the test doesn't go right on
the first try United will have the second cap tube already there.
Saves you on having to clip and ship a second time.
