Subject: Re:Questions on taking care of sick ferret

On Tuesday morning Nosmo had the splenectomy, along with having one of the
adrenal glands removed and a GI resection because they found some sort of
growth in his intestines that was causing a slight blockage. It has been a
little over a week and he is doing good. He is eating solid food again and
I'm glad I made the decision that I did. I like to think of it as giving him
a second chance. The whole procedure cost $1371. Lucky for me I was able to
borrow the money and hopefully the pet insurance we have will cover most of
it. I'm still giving him his medicine, Carafat and Pet Tinic, and
surprising for me he loves the stuff. He is however a bit more aggressive,
on Thursday night he bit me harder than he ever has (and he used to be a real
bad biter). I'm worried that this will continue, but hopeful for the future
that he won't.

The end result is best for all of us, Nosmo and his brother King (there names
connect to make no-smoking) are going to a new home when Nosmo is completely
better. And George and Jane (my two youngest) are going to a different home.
I love them all very much but it's best for all of us this way.

Thank you all very much for the help,

Mandy and Nosmo
