Subject: Re: post adrenal surgery behavior

Sampson went through fairly major surgery and you probably shouldn't
expect him to be bounding about for a while. Just imagine how you'd
feel if someone sliced your abdomen open. He may have been "happy"
when you picked him up as a result of a pain killer. Only your vet
can tell you if that's the case. I doubt he's bored and the rest
will do him good. The fact that he's eating, drinking and
eliminating without problems is excellent. It sounds like he's doing
just fine. Let him rest in quiet for at least a few more days.

quickly went to sleep when we got home. Since then he has pretty
much slept. He wakes up every few hours to eat, drink, and go to the
bathroom, but he is only awake for about 15 minutes at a time.
