Subject: Re: post adrenal surgery behavior

You should consider yourself lucky that he is staying calm and "out
of trouble". Doing so allows his body time to heal, otherwise he
could be as risk for hernia or rupturing his sutures. (speaking from
experience)
Again, as others have said, as long as he continues to eat, drink
and eliminate, he should be just fine a few days time.

Since then he has pretty much slept. He wakes up every few hours
to eat, drink, and go to the bathroom, but he is only awake for about
15 minutes at a time. Is it normal for ferrets to sleep this much
post-surgery or should I be concerned? We haven't let him play with
the other ferrets yet, so maybe he is bored. Any suggestions?
