Unfortunately, as so many posters have said so eloquently, "figures"
do not seem to exist. Hypotheses, theories, "gut-feelings" - yes - we
all have them in abundance - but hard facts and figures seem to be
non-existent, even for something as basic as comparative longevity of
the basic sable or albino, and the "fancy" colours and markings. So
don't hold out hope for anything of statistical worth in regard to
ECE!
As a medical epidemiologist in an earlier life, I know how difficult
it is to find unbiased evidence that is in a large enough quantity to
be unarguably statistically significant in the human population - and
even then, no-one agrees on the actual importance or relevance of the
information, or the action that is to be taken with it,even in the
rare case that there is reasonably unanimous agreement about
something. I don't think ferrets will be any different, unfortunately.
