Some ferrets are able to adapt well to having a low BG--Amelia tested at the
rather awful number of 36 this weekend, but at the time the sample was
taken, she was exploring the vet's office and having fun playing peekaboo
with the scale basket. I don't think it's natural, it's just that some
ferrets can somehow cope better with those low levels.

Thanks to those who suggested to me last week that we bump up Amelia's
pediapred further--I went from thinking that this vet visit would really be
it to seeing some good quality time left for her yet. I don't know how long
it will last, but she's been noticably more active and her time awake is
more alert. Can't do much about her other health problems (heart murmur,
unidentified mass in chest, probable lymphoma), but at least insulinoma is
still under control for now.
