First, lets talk in milligrams, not milliliters, because there can be
variations in the mg per ml of pred in the liquid.

That said, and assuming your pred is 1.0 mg/ml (but it may not be),
then my opinion is that neither of those is a typical starting dose.
Typical starting dosages with which I'm familiar are more like 0.2 mg
to 0.5 mg (not ml), twice a day.

You may very well need to adjust that amount, but those are good
starting doses and then you need to monitor and go from there.

I'm curious why a pharmacist would be recommending anything in the
way of dosage for a ferret!
