Subject: Pred Questions
My insulinomic ferret, Roy, was put on Pred on
Saturday. He seems peppier already, which must just be
my imagination... or does it start to work that fast?
He has also been on baby food twice daily, and
liver-based vitamin gel for a couple of weeks, so
that's more likely the reason for his energy/appetite.
My questions:
What's the best way to feed them the liquid Pred? I
have to force it in with a dropper (I tasted it myself
and don't blame him for hating it) and he fights so
hard I don't want to hurt him. Is there anything that
masks the smell/flavor so he'll happily consume it?
Also, I had to get it through my local pharmacy. It's
EXPENSIVE! $44.00 for a one month supply. Is there a
discount online pharmacy or someplace like that
someone can suggest?
