Subject: Re; Help!

I have a golden retriever who is quite shy around my
ferrets, infact he has always let me know if one of
the ferrets is in a place it shouldn't be! He was 2
years old when I first got him and had not been used
to ferrets, however he seemed to accept them as
something to 'watch over' and guard from danger! I
believe retrievers are kind and gentle souls!
Perhaps your ferret is intimidated by his size, or is
your ferret blind and only recognises the dog from his
odor and therefore feels threatened by his size?
Personally with that much fear or intimidation going
on,I would consider strongly putting your ferret in a
quiet room in another part of the house!
You also might want to buy some RESCUE REMEDY to give
to both animals, it is all natural and will help both
of them calm down cosiderably! I have used it for many
years especially when I ran a shelter to help
abandoned ferrets adjust to their new surroundings!
Reassure your ferret that the dog is not a problem,
you may be imputing fear to him yourself, by worrying
about his reaction---Angela.
