Subject: lymes disease

I am not sure about ferrets and lymes disease, but your bump sounds very
familiar. One of my girls would always get this scabby thing on her in the
same spot. I asked the vet about it. She actually has quite a few of them
in different spots that come and go. For the life of me I can't remember the
name of it, but it is nothing to worry about. I know that if a dog or cat
had them, it is serious, but these are usually nothing to worry about in
ferrets. my girl has had them for over two years and they just exist, they
don't bother her at all. SOrry I can't be mroe specific, but maybe you will
worry a little less until someone who can be more specific can help you.

[Moderator's note: writer may be thinking of mast cell tumors, which often are best removed for comfort's sake, depending on ferret.]
