Subject: Orange stool

What, if anything, should I be concerned about if my ferret has passed orange
stool?

This occured during his second bowel movement today. The first looked normal,
and most of the second was also normal in appearance -- however, he first
excreted a small bit of orange stool, and then a larger (a little under an
inch) bit. Color-wise, it looks similar to a slice of American cheese,
though somewhat lighter. Other than the color and a lone strand of hair
sticking out of it, it looks normal.

His behavior has not changed as of late, and his eating and drinking habits
seem to be the same. The only physical changes I've noticed are that the
undercoat behind his ears has taken on a golden color, and a little shedding
(which could possibly be related to changing from a fall to a spring
coat, correct?).

Any insight someone could offer would be wonderful.
