I'd like to make a suggestion. You see, latex and rubber are
major causes of death from blockage in ferrets, therefore the
pacifier could be great hazard for the kit. Instead go to a petstore
or to the ferret store (They have a website and a catalog.) and
order one of the safe gelatin based chewing things that exist for
ferrets. Some names are Foamy Fries, Cheweasels, and
Marshall Chews. They love to chew on these and it helps ease
teething pain, which was apparently what you encountered, plus
they won't endanger the ferret. The worst than can happen is
loose stools if they chew too much at one time.
