Subject: Re: Congenital Heart Disease in Kit

The ECG done in December came back saying she had a "rhythm
disturbance that was symptomatic of CHD."

Ok, so she went in last Thursday for an ultrasound and this is what I
was told the specialist saw. A perfectly normal heart. Apparently
the 3 vets looking at the results were scratching their heads over
this because the ECG said she definately had a problem, but the
ultrasound was showing nothing. So, they decided to do another X-ray
just to see if there was any difference with the one taken on the
same day as the ECG. They were identical. It shows a bit of "fluid"
(this is still in question) between her lungs and ribcage.
Everyone's still scratching their heads. So they wanted to do
another ECG, but at that point I had to say enough. All this had
already gone well over the "quote" I was given and rent $$ was being
used to cover it.

In the end....her blood pressure is normal, heart looks normal, but
she still has that "cough". And I still don't have an explanation as
to why the ECG showed a problem, but the ultrasound did not. Has
anyone ever heard of a kit having a heart problem, but growing out of
it??? I'm at a total loss here...and don't know what else to do.
The one vet suggested that the coughing could be due to her bedding.
Well if that was the case, she'd be coughing throughout the day as
well. And she doesn't. It's only in the middle of the night, very
early morning that I hear her. Very similar to the cough my first
fert had when she had cardio. Excluding the additional ECG, I think
I"ve done everything possible to find out what's going on. And yet,
I'm still worried and feel that questions still need to be answered.
I just don't know what to do to get them (answers)

I truly welcome any and all input.

Sincerely,

Sneakers and mom.
