You could have the digests instead of individual e-mails. The way to
do that is to simply join with a blank mail:

Ferret-Health-list-subscribe@yahoogroups.com (You can skip this part
if already a member.)

and afterward select digest by sending a second blank mail to:

Ferret-Health-list-digest@yahoogroups.com .

This is in the joining materials but sometimes gets overlooked or
lost in the ether, so here's a reminder.
