This is the first time I have heard about heartworm
medication for ferrets. Is it really necessary? Why
would it be necessary?

I know I plan on takin my ferrets outdoors soon as
spring / summer really does get here. So Frontline is
in order for ticks, as Missouri has lotsa ticks all
over.

But heartworm medication?

Thanks
Yvonne
