Hello Alisa,
It CERTAINLY sounds as if Boogie is having adrenal complications.
Elevated lymphocytes can mean infection - and from your description he has
kidney / bladder / UTI problems and likely infection going on here. AT 6
years of age this is a somewhat common occurrence all related around hyper
adrenal condition.
Typically male symptoms of adrenal / prostate complications are straining
to urinate- THIS REQUIRES IMMEDIATE vet attention- A strong antibiotic and
adrenal procedures surgery or combination of lupron and flutamide treatments.
If none of these are done - then Boogie will likely become septic- his
urine will not be able to flow and will back up into the kidneys and poison
his body.
Please seek a ferret knowledgeable vet immediately!
