It sounds like it's possible he had a hypoglycemic episode, but
definitely lets get his blood glucose checked, along with full
bloodwork, to see what might be going on.

A normal, fasting blood glucose is in the 90-120 mg/dl range. I
would not fast him prior to going to the vet, since at this point you
have no idea where his glucose is at. I'd hate to see you withold
his food and have him go into a full-blown seizure. See what his
glucose is and go from there.

Rubbing a small amount of Karo on his gums may help if he has another
one of these episodes, but you need to make sure you follow it up
with a high protein meal. You will want to use a q-tip so he doesn't
latch onto a finger!

Make sure he's not missing any meals and get him into the vet right
away.
