I forgot to say, Mingo refused to eat whole bones in his diet. Instead he
got ground bones or a calcium/mineral supplement. He did eat the bones in
mice. Those bones are so soft and get very well chewed before swallowed by
the ferrets but I suppose it is possible even this tiny and soft fragments
could cause a lesion?
Maybe a blockage of some kind is more likely. He lived outdoors so did not
have access to a lot of things to ingest, but it’s possible he might have
found something.
Is it possible to estimate how long he could have had the intestinal lesion?
Could it be something he was born with, or would that’ve presented problems
at a younger age?

Marie
