Subject: reply to assorted med giving questions

For some we have them compounded by Belviedere
(1-800-322-1302, local 908-756-6695. fax 1-908-756-2890) and
there are many other compounding pharmacies which can be
found at one of the links at
http://geocities.com/sukielist
(a page a friend surprised me with one day that has my favorite
ferret-health related links).

We don't give meds in laxatives in case they may pass too
rapidly to be used, but have been told that some vets have said
that for some meds that is fine. Guess I'd ask the vet specifically
in realtion to any med with that to know which may be okay.

Some meds work okay in oils, some work okay in water-soluble
matrices. Some are hidden fine in foods like baby food or a/d.

Some of ours have only one way that they will take a bitter med:
in Nutrical.

Others don't care as long as they are getting Ferretone.

Some are fine as long as they know that they will get a treat
afterward.
