Subject: Insulinoma - WHAT Happened??

I am not a vet. Not even near. But my boy has insulinoma. He is
4yrs. I did ALOT of research and I spoke to ALOT of people who gave
me advice. The spleen is the holder of blood cells. If you have
been sick or have an infection your spleen strts storing the blood
cells to fight the infection. So if your baby was sick then the
spleen will be larger. My Vet told me the his spleen could possble
go down in size when we put him on Prednisone. I do not think it
did but......
I also thought that you should "fast" a ferret before having blood
work done. OOPS!!! Once again his blood glucose had crazy numbers.
My vet put him on Prednisone and we retested later on and I did NOT
"fast" him. His Glucose was fine that round. He is still on
Prednisone. Their digestion process only takes about 3 hours.
So this is my life. And that is how I am living it. If any of this
is wrong PLEASE let me.
Thanx,
Staci, Kassia, Chloe & Griffin - The Ferts
