Subject: New Here - Need Urgent Advice Please....

Hi,

My fuzzie, Trouble, is 6 1/2 years old, and has just had his left
adrenal removed successfully.

The vet examined his other internal organs and found that his liver
has black spots/small black nodules on both lobes. He was not able
to do a biopsy at the time as this was his first adrenalectomy and
Trouble was already in a very unstable state - he did not want him
to get hypothermia etc.

We will discuss his biopsy options when we get his stitches out in
10 days, but I am terrified that this may be cancer and he has
prepared me for this possibility. I cannot bear to get him back
only to lose him to something even more horrible.

Vets in Australia do not have much experience in Adrenal disease and
so I am begging for some help here.

I know that there is not much hope of providing a definitive answer
until a biopsy is done, but I would like to be able to get a jump on
what other things it might be so that I exhaust all other options
before we address the big "C".

I do not want Trouble to suffer in any way, it almost killed me when
I discovered he had adrenal. I want to do the right thing but at
the same time, I do not want to just wash my hands of the whole
matter either.

Can any of the vets here give me suggestions. My vet looked for
insulinoma, but there is no evidence of this. His liver looked
healthy and was not swollen at all. The only problem is these black
marks.

Please, please help me.

Any suggestions for things I could do to help him in the meantime
would also be good ie treatments, foods, vitamins etc, etc.
Anything at all really!

Thank you all so very much. :-)
