Subject: Re: Ferret with the chest "cold" for two weeks

Yahoo is slow in moving things aorund today so, please, see
this and react accordingly:

This ferret needs a vet appointment, x-rays, and very possibly
prescription medications.

It could be cardiomyopathy, could be pneumonia, could even be
asthma.

This is NOT something that you can handle with OTCs and
some of those can kill the ferret, as can a respiratory problem
serious enough to cause wheezing or serious coughing.

BTW, ferrets don't get hukman viral colds. They can get influenza
or bacterial sinus infections from us, though.

Meanwhile do not use your meds on the ferret, but do use plain
steam to help the ferret cough out garbage.
