I posted here several weeks ago about my young jill having her right kidney
removed. Lily has recovered very well, but I am a little concerned about
her energy levels.
It is 6 weeks since her emergency surgery and her energy levels are still
not back to normal, (pre surgery) She plays with the others and is very
bouncy, but after about an hour, she is looking for somewhere to sleep.
Pre - surgery, she would always be the first one to wake up and come
rushing to the cage door when I went to let them out, but now she tends to
stretch, yawn and roll out of the hammock.
My vet says that, just having one kidney, shouldn't make any difference to
her energy levels.
He said that if i'm worried, then we can do blood tests in a few weeks time.
Is it likely that this is due to her still recovering, or is 6 weeks long
enough for her to be back to normal?
I would like some advice please, as I am not sure if I should get her blood
test done now, or wait a few more weeks.

Many thanks
Carol
