I am not a vet. It's possible that the broken tooth could cause this, I
guess. Grinding the teeth indicates pain, usually pain in the tummy so
if you see a ferret grinding it's teeth, think ulcers. Pawing at the
mouth can also be a sign of ulcers. The best treatment I've read about
is two weeks of Amoxi, Biaxin and Carafate.
