Subject: surgery and antibiotics-need help now!

Hi all. Funk just had surgery to remove a foreign body. (the tip of the
tail of her squeeky toy :( ) Anyway, I have been given Baytril tablets
and liquid Baytril. Rather than force feed her the tablets right now, I
was wondering if anyone has a dose or suggestions on injections of
Baytril liquid. I have given mice Baytril liquid in their water bottles.
Would this work? She just came out of surgery at noon Wednesday, and is
still trying to wake up, so any help right away would be great.

Also, how soon can I feed her? Should I stick with soup, or baby food?
And for how many days should I keep her on soup?

One more thing. Her spleen was quite large, so I'm assuming infection.
Is there anything else I can do to help her out?

She's almost 7 yrs old, and quite healthy up until she ate this thing, so
I want to keep her around. She is weiging about 600 grams right now.
Don't know if you remember but her sister Bell just lost her life after
this same surgery several weeks ago.

Thanks for everything!
Cynthia and Funk

PS- Rascal's feet are clearing up after the Ivermectin injection. Thanks!
