Hello,
I had a spayed ferret that exhibited the same signs.
After 3 years she eventually began to lose her hair
and looked like a ferret with an adrenal gland
tumor.
An exploratory surgery found that she had ovarian
remnants and a uterine stump (incomplete spay!).
After removal of these remnants she grew her hair
back and looked better than she ever did!
