Subject: FERRET FELL FROM 4TH FLOOR (UPDATE)

Hi, we are Laura and Joaquin, and we thank our friend Soledad for
posting a message earlier.

We are Glad to announce that Buffy (The flying ferret) as she is
currently being called. Is almost 100% after falling from a 4th floor
apartment (almost 30 ft high)

We were sleepless last night after the accident because we had to
check for any simptoms that could show any internal injuries but
luckily there wasn´t any. She is eating, drinking water and using her
litter box. She is only sleeping too much but i gues she doesn´t
wants to move around a lot.

That´s the good news, but... she couldn´t move her rear left leg and
this morning we took her to the vet and after a couple X-ray we found
out that she ha a fractured bone, it´s the longest bone on her leg,
close to what would be her knee. It is a very difficult fracture to
fix and she will receive corrective surgery tomorrow night.

We would like to receive from anybody out there some advise about
anesthesia (what would be better, inyection or breathed) If there is
any probability that she wont wake up after surgery. And if you know
any treatment or similar cases where a ferret has succesfully
recovered from a fractured bone. We apreciate your attention and wait
eagerly for your answers, thank you very much.

Laura, Joaquin and Buffy.
Ps. Buffy is about 4 months old so the Vet told us that this is a
good thing because she can recover faster. (what do you think)
