Sleeping more than usual and losing weight are very
obvious symptoms of 'low blood glucose'! It is a cycle
that comes with Hypoglycemia! The blood glucose drops
the ferret is too tired to eat and vica versa, so even
though you may not have seen any seizures he may have
had some small ones that have gone unnoticed!
However he could have other problems besides, that
caused a dimished appetite and a good rule of thumb
would be to supplement his diet right now with CHICKEN
BABYFOOD, at least 4-5 teaspoons twice a day to help
level off his glucose and add a little more weight
before his surgery!
Also after surgery he most likely will need a soft
diet easy to eat and digest, so if you start him now
you will not have to struggle to get him to eat after
surgery! Another plus is you will be able to add the
AMOXI to a little of the babyfood and he will not even
notice that it is in there!---Angela
