Hi, Denise, and everyone else,

First, I agree with Mike 100%. Your ferret must 1) eat something, and 2)
see a ferret-knowledgeable vet immediately. Ferrets, as you noticed,
can go downhill very quickly. My hope is that you have done both
already.

If you let us know where you are someone on the list may be able to
reccommend one. There is also a list of ferret vets in the files
section on the FHL web page.

Also, once this crisis is over and your ferret has hopefully recovered,
please do read up on them. Ferrets make wonderful pets, but they are
very high maintenace (time, not always cost) and their medical issues
are unique. If you read a site like http://www.ferretcentral.org and/or
read a book like Ferrets For Dummies, you and your new ferret may enjoy
many happy years together. A happy ferret is like a puppy that never
grows up in many ways, except they use a litter pan like a cat if well
trained.

All the best,
Caity and the notorious nine
