Subject: Glucose testing

Regarding the suspected insulomina and fasting and non fasting BG's....
My vet seems to think that the stress of the test itself can make the
glucose results hinky:)
He likes the ferrets to be brought in non-fasting, keep them at the vets
fasting
for a few hours in order to get them to sort of do the stress thing, fall
asleep
and then do the test - in the hopes that the results are more accurate.
Just thought I'd throw this out - my two are going in this coming Friday
for glucose testing, they are a few months shy of 7 yrs. old.
