Surgery is the best treatment in my opinion. It can be curative where
drug treatments are just treating the symptoms and letting the tumor
grow. Assuming a fairly healthy ferret, 5 yrs old is not to old for
surgery at all. I just had surgery for my little girl who is 4. She took
it real easily and now shows signs that it was a successful surgery.
Hair hasn't come back yet, but her vulva is back to normal. They found a
bad left adrenal and removed it. I am not a vet.
