I've always thought of that as their way of wiping themselves. Mine don't
always do that, but I like to watch when they do because sometimes they
leave a streak in their path, which I want to clean up while it's
fresh. They seem more inclined to do this on my linoleum (sp?) patch of
flooring rather than carpet or tile, but I think I remember seeing one of
my three do it (to a lesser degree) on carpet once.
Keep in mind though, I've only been a ferret mommy for about 7 months now,
so I could be missing something.
