I have heard this numerous times at my vet's from angry customers.
I researched a few companies and only one accepted ferrets. I was
told regardless of vet records and paperwork from breeders, the
insurance company would make the final determination regarding
ailments that are "pre-existing".

Although pet insurance for my ferrets sounded like a good idea at
first, I opted not to purchase it. I had a feeling they would give
me a hard time regarding surgeries, etc. Seems it's true. I would
still consider it for dogs and cats, however, not exotics.

Only my opinion.
