Absolutely! In my experience, most ferrets that have surgery on one
gland will usually have a reoccurance in the other gland a year or
two later. This isn't always the case, but I'd have to say it
happens often enough to be called a common occurance.

And, if the gland isn't completely removed, it can even happen again
in the same gland.
