Usually the treatment for IBD is either prednisone or Imuran, and
sometimes Flagyl is added for a short period. The only way to know
if it is IBD, though, is to have a bowel biopsy done. Have you
discussed the possibility of IBD with your vet? That is the best
place to start. If you vet is unfamiliar with IBD in ferrets, then
you might want to share the article from Ferrets magazine with him.
