Subject: Re: Wacky BG, what could this be? - Update

everyone for your responses, it has been very helpful. My vet
concurred that the 340 was too high and anomalous. And the spleen
tap came back with nothing specifically alarming. So in light of the
ferrets lack of positive response to food she is bending away from
hypoglycemia. However, his consistently low Potassium has caused her
to suspect hypokalemia. He is excessively fatigued, he has to be
woken up to eat and is appetite has diminished some, which the vet
also said ties in with hypokalemia. So we have him on potassium gel
with some pred in reserve if he gets worse. We are waiting to see if
there is some response in him and for another vet to review his
material.

Thanks,
Jesse
