Subject: Biaxin dose

Biaxin comes as 125mg per tsp or 250mg per tsp depending on
which one you get it is either 25mg per ml or 50mg per ml.
Your dose of 1ml per day per 1lb of ferret for the 50mg
per ml is equal to the 2ml of the 125mg/tsp if that is all the
pharmacy has.
Let the vet call in the prescription, the pharmacist will let
you
know how much to give depending on which concentration they
have for you.

Personally I would be calling other pharmacies to see who has
the other concentration in stock, that stuff is sticky and
messy
I can't see giving 2ml if you could only have to give 1ml

Can someone please let me know how much Biaxin to give my
ferret for ulcer treatment? The info I have is pediatric
liquid suspension 50mg/ml. 1ml of Biaxin once per day for a
1lb ferret. My vet called the pharmacy and said it does not
come 50mg/ml. I think it was 12.5ml/tsp? or something? I
need to know as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Kelly
