Subject: Re: Insulinoma complications!

We have a ferret named Daniel(blind as a bat) who acts
very much like Mystik, infact he walks aimlessly in
circles, both in and out of his cage and never seems
to realize that he has stepped in his poop meantime,
or fallen off his ramp into the poop!
He loves his companion Jack and yet will waddle off on
his own, finding his way around the ferret room by
stumbling over everything! It is sad to watch him as
his little world must be so confining, but he
recognises my touch and always seems so comforted to
know that I am there!
He too has insulinoma and is on Pred. and as advised
it would be well for you to have Mystik's blood
rechecked to see if her dose needs to be adjusted! You
also need to give her the supplemental baby food
feedings with her pred. to help keep her blood glucose
leveled off inbetween!
When Daniel's medication needs re-adjusting he seems
to be more off balance than usual, plowing into things
and just generally disoriented, which might be the
case with Mystik---Angela.
