Subject: Vomitting Rehab Baby
Hello,
I am working with a rehab ferret age is guessed because she was a
rescue. Let's say approx 2-3 years old. The past couple of weeks
she has been vomitting after eating. If she eats a moderate amount
of food she will vomit as soon as she is finished. She wants to
eat. She is eating a combination of soft and hard. If she is given
a small, I mean small amount she can keep it down. But, I know she
is not eating the proper amount of nutrition needed to keep her
going. The vet suggest cleaning her teeth, which are in bad
condition and then possibly doing a barium. The appointment is next
week. Her stools are funny sometimes good most time bad, or I
should say loose. I have been giving her small amounts of food at a
time. On smell, it appears to repulse her. Until I put some on my
finger and put it to her mouth. She use to eat without a problem.
I had her in Nov and Dec. She ate and moved around without a
problem. She went through a spell of pasturella and is cured of
that and then this started.
I would like to know what suggestions anyone may have concerning
this. I am always open to comments and suggestions.
P.S. the other rehabs I have wrote about in the past are doing
wonderfully. One is ready for a home. I have to get her out of
here because we are getting too attached.
