Subject: Adopted Ferret
I just adopted a year and a half old male Ferret from a guy that
obviously did not take very good care of the little guy. He is very
skinny and frail. I was told that he was fed dog food. I feed my
Ferrets Marshalls Premium Diet Ferret food with an occasional cat
treat and a liquid vitamin in their water. My other Ferret is a few
months older and in good health with normal wieght and growth. The
new adopted Ferret is not as active but like to get out and check
things out as a Ferret will do. He sleeps a lot after about 30 min
of exercise. My question, Is there any way to put some wieght on
this little guy. Also I have noticed that he take a while to cchew
his food and he will suck on his food to soften it up before
chewing. Any comments on this?
